Application for Improvements to the Toothill Community Centre

The Toothill Community Centre has been providing affordable room hire to local groups and organisations and to the public for parties and functions for over 30 years. As most visitors know, the centre is in need of some upgrades to the facilities currently on offer and the committee is looking in to ways to achieve this and also how this could be funded.

Our immediate aim is to make the centre feel more secure for current users and encourage new user groups to use the centre.

Improved security is the first step on the road to better facilities.

The introduction of a new security system covering both the inside and the outside of the centre could improve security for current users and reduce opportunities for vandalism. This in turn will generate the funds to maintain the security system and also contribute to continued development of the facilities in the future.

A CCTV system of 8 cameras costs £3192 and has the opportunity for future expansion if required. A grant from the Toothill Big Local would be a great start to the committee’s drive for improvements and community support is key to making this a reality.
